Introduction - Part 1

So – you've decided to give up smoking, and as a smoker, that is the single most important decision you will ever take. Smoking is a dead certain killer, we all know it, but many of us take too long to do something about it for ourselves. You are one of the few who has plucked up the courage, and common sense, to give up smoking once and for all. So before you do anything else, give yourself a big pat on the back and allow yourself to be filled with a warm sense of pride in knowing that you, not someone else, but YOU have stood up and decided to take hold of your own freedom by fighting back for the control of your own mind and your own life. This is not to be underestimated, and it is the first and largest step you have to take in order to reach your goal of being a healthy non-smoker. Well Done.

With our supporting emails, and any other help we can offer along the way, we hope you can look forward to becoming a non-smoker for the rest of your life. Doesn't that just sound SO scary?! Listen again, “a non-smoker, FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!” That's right, that is what we want for you, and that is what you should be trying to achieve for yourself, your friends and your loved ones, so there is no point beating around the bush on this subject. What you have to achieve is PERMANENT Freedom from Nicotine, and as horrible as that sounds at first, I can honestly tell you, as will any ex-smoker, that it really is NOT. It is a joy to become free of the nicotine trap, and its only nicotine itself which manages to twist that thought into something unpleasant. Time will prove me right here, and you WILL soon see that all Nicotine ever gave you was bad health, heavy costs, insecurity and thankfully it failed to give you its final gift, your very own painful and premature death.

You are stopping Nicotine in its tracks by taking this fantastic decision to kick it where it hurts and be free of its bullying behaviour for ever more. For that decision alone you should be very proud, and you should use that pride to drive your determination onwards, and make a decision not to let yourself down for ANY reason, no matter what. This habit is all in the mind, it is all about the psychological addiction you have.

As the root of the problem is in your mind, so is the solution. You simply have to DECIDE that you will NEVER go back on your decision to be a non-smoker, and you have already quit smoking the second you make that statement. Once you understand this, you will know how harmful it will be if you go back to smoking again, because each time you do, you are weakening your resolve for next time.

You only need ONE chance to give up, regardless of how many times you have tried before. Once is all you need, and you should promise yourself today that ONCE is all you will ever need from now on because this time you are going to succeed with flying colours, and with ease. You are no longer going to tell people that you are “Trying to quit” or that you are going to “have a go at giving up smoking”. That is losing talk, and it is your addiction talking. I want YOU to talk for a change, and state to the ones you love, to strangers in the street and to yourself every minute of the day that YOU are going to become a non-smoker for ever, and kick the habit once and for all, the habit which will almost certainly cause your ill health or untimely death one day.

I will leave it there for today, I have lots more to say, but I don't want to go on too long on the first day, I just wanted to give you a few reasons why you are doing the right thing by taking the decision to quit smoking. I can assure you, within a few days you WILL want to give it up more than anything else in the world, because we are going to open your eyes to the dark side of this habit, the side nobody shows you when you start smoking. We all see Clint Eastwood smoking his Marlboros, or the tough guy in Vietnam looking cool with his Lucky Strikes, but we don't often see how the tobacco companies realised the best way to care for its country's soldiers was by killing them and getting them hooked on a hugely profitable drug while they were too busy fighting a war to notice. These are the sides you need to know about. And we are going to bare all about this inhumane industry which would be banned in a second if it didn't generate so much revenue for those who are empowered with inventing laws on our behalf.
